Anita often leaves the documentary photography to me. But she knew that last weekend’s trip to Keukenhof would be something special. Keukenhof is a garden in the bulb-producing region of Holland, and it is open each year only for springtime flower displays. So Anita packed her fancy new camera — “James” — and an extra battery.
When we returned to the Bugle Abode, Anita volunteered to select the photos for Flickr. I was delighted to have her help. (more…)

Germany, just a few miles away
We love our guests in the B&B, in part because they give us a good reason to leave the house! The trees and tulips are just beginning to flower, so it’s a good time to drive around our part of Europe. We’re happy to share a photoset of our weekend in Germany, beginning Saturday, 10 April.

BBB&B guests relax during travel turmoil

Remember as you plan your summer holidays that our laundry and kitchen are available to all guests at all times!
In the local community, the Bakker Bugle has organized relief efforts for families with members stranded far away from Luxembourg. We’ve provided pet-oriented nutritional aid and home security operations for (more…)

But what I didn’t realize until about a week ago: we will not be counted in the census. Intellectually, I understand the reasoning. We don’t live in the US. Why should we be counted in the US numbers? But emotionally – I don’t want to be left out! (more…)
