Luxembourg’s official celebration of National Day is solemn compared to the night before. The Grand Duke and his family attended a service and then reviewed the military and civil forces of his realm.

We watched, for a little while, the parade of vehicles and bands that passed before the Grand Duke and assorted dignitaries. Then we cycled the long way home.
