It was the most cold and snowy winter since we arrived here. As good Illinoisans, we didn&#8217;t mind it a bit. <a href=\"http:\/\/weatherspark.com\/history\/28839\/2013\/Luxembourg\">A few more<\/a> sunny days would have been nice&#8230; but we don&#8217;t miss late-winter lake-effect snow at all. <\/p>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/bakkerbugle.com\/apps\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/130116_0300.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/bakkerbugle.com\/apps\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/130116_0400.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"photo\">As soon as the snow stopped on January 16, I walked to some of my favorite spots in Luxembourg-Ville.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bakkerbugle.com\/apps\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/130116_0301.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/bakkerbugle.com\/apps\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/130116_0401.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"photo\">The Cathedral and Pont Adolphe<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bakkerbugle.com\/apps\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/130116_0303.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/bakkerbugle.com\/apps\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/130116_0403.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"photo\">The park that Anita walks through every morning on her way to work.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bakkerbugle.com\/apps\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/130116_0304.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/bakkerbugle.com\/apps\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/130116_0404.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bakkerbugle.com\/apps\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/130116_0305.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/bakkerbugle.com\/apps\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/130116_0405.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"photo\">Still along Anita&#8217;s commute.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bakkerbugle.com\/apps\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/130116_0307.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/bakkerbugle.com\/apps\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/130116_0407.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"photo\">Anita and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vanderkrogt.net\/statues\/object.php?webpage=LE&#038;record=lu036\">a great website about statues<\/a> concur: this is a memorial for Am\u00e9lie von Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach. Although it doesn&#8217;t snow here very often, they have some very fancy snow-removal equipment.<\/p>\n<p>More to come!
