It is easy to do without much effort.<\/li>\n<li>Explore by walking about each day.<\/li>\n<li>Partake of a local alcoholic beverage &#8212; beer or whiskey, it doesn&#8217;t matter. <i>Disclaimer: Number 3 is not for the pregnant or those who could become pregnant &#8230; you know who you are.<\/i><span style=\"float:right;\"><a href='http:\/\/bakkerbugle.com\/apps\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/11\/beersofsharon.jpg' title='Beers of Sharon'><img src='http:\/\/bakkerbugle.com\/apps\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/11\/beersofsharon.thumbnail.jpg' alt='Beers of Sharon' \/><\/a><\/span>\n<\/li>\n<li>See a castle &#8230; and while you are at it, a babbling brook or a nearby river or canal.<\/li>\n<li>Observe the local wildlife from a safe distance.<\/li>\n<li>Go on a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guinness-storehouse.com\/\">brewery tour<\/a> &#8230; see #3 above. (No, I am not an alcoholic.)<\/li>\n<li>See a <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Irish_round_tower\">round tower<\/a> &#8212; though rare &#8212; it lends itself both to fairy tale and phallic visions.<\/li>\n<li>Buy some postcards and mail them back to your jealous friends in the States &#8230; Try not to rub it in too much when back home.<\/li>\n<li>Buy local artisan souvenirs (wool, lace, marble, pottery) for family and friends, because it is cool and you rubbed it in too much in #8.<\/li>\n<li>Take pictures to remember the fun and hospitality, and to quote a friend, how it was &#8220;f*ing picturesque&#8221; (said in an Irish accent).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In no particular order: Embrace the culture.
